Karsten Michels

Head of Productline High Performance Computer,
Continental Automotive AG

Dr. Karsten Michels is Head of Product Line High-Performance Computer (HPC) at Continental Automotive. In this role he has the global responsibility for the High-Performance Computer product portfolio along the entire product life cycle.

In the last four years, Michels was leading the Research & Advanced Development for the Continental Automotive Group which includes the product areas of e. g. Automated Driving, Chassis Systems, Brakes, Cockpit High-Performance Computers, and Clusters.

Michels started his career as a mechanical engineer at the Volkswagen AG in 1993. After several executive management positions within the Volkswagen Group, he joined Magna Electronics Europe as development manager for Europe. Prior to his career at Continental, he was leading the development department in the eCar Powertrain Systems business unit of Siemens AG.

Karsten Michels holds a PHD in Electrical Engineering.
