Volkmar Tanneberger has a strong professional focus on the development of SW based Systems in the automotive industry. He is looking back on more than 25 years of experience in the management of highly innovative and complex development programs and was substantially involved in development of world first products in the area of navigation & infotainment systems and driver assistance systems.
Over the course of his professional career he has been in responsible management positions for navigation platform and software development at Bosch/Blaupunkt as well as development of ECUs and electronic architecture at Volkswagen.
In 2006 Volkmar Tanneberger took over the position of Executive Vice President Development Electrics/Electronics Volkswagen, since 2009 he was additionally acting as Chairman of Volkswagens Group Electrics/Electronics Module Management.
In 2017 Volkmar Tanneberger has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Technical Engineering at SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd., Shanghai, China.
After termination of his active career at Volkswagen in 2019 Volkmar Tanneberger acts as senior advisor in selected innovative projects. He is member of the Supervisory Board of Elmos Semiconductor SE and serves as member of the Advisory Board for the International "Automobil-Elektronik Kongress" in Ludwigsburg.
